So you want to learn more about The Imaginary Friends Band?

We've been together since 2019 in various forms before settling on the duo. Originally, we had a four piece band, but COVID killed that. Yeah, I know, it sucks. We also had a pretty cool club. COVID killed that too. COVID sucks, just sayin', but it brought us to Tulsa!
The Band...
We've gone through a few name changes and a few bass players but the sound is the same as always. Ms. Sierra, our lead singer, is a singer/songwriter that has a pretty extensive knowledge of songs and styles to cover most areas. She has been playing for many years and has a vocal style that is unlike any other. Our drummer began playing jazz and blues back in the stone age and has a unique style that fits well with Sierra's style. We play anything from classic rock and jazz to modern pop and country.
The Instruments...
Depending on the venue, we may bring different instruments to play. If we're going for a coffee shop vibe, we pay pick up the 12 string and cahone. On the other end of the spectrum, we may need the electric guitars and the full drum set. There's even been times when we've had to bust out the ukulele or the bodhran. Through the years, we have collected a wide variety of instruments capable of fitting in with any theme, from beach chill music to heavy rock.
The Music...
Our style is heavily influenced by a few different genres, which gives us a unique sound. Sierra grew up listening to classic rock and began learning guitar by jamming with Beatles tunes. Add in a touch of gospel and jazz and sprinkle it with a touch of modern pop and you have a unique blend that is fascinating to listen to. Our drummer grew up with jazz and blues, and was a staple around Ft. Meyers Florida for many years. His laid back "beach bum" style mixed with the unique improvisational skills needed for jazz create for a cool sound. While we add our own flair to cover songs we perform, our combined styles really show in our original songs.
Our Future...
Our hope is not only to be able to share our music as widely as we can, but to rebuild our artist facility that we ran prior to COVID. We want to see more people getting involved with music and the arts, and we will do what we can to help encourage that.
